Memberium + Keap OAuth Connection

This Article Applies to

With the latest Memberium update, you can now connect your WordPress site to Keap (via Memberium) using Keap’s new OAuth integration.

What is the OAuth Integration

In plain English, the two main benefits of adding the OAuth integration to your site are:

  1. Increased API capacity (site can handle more members, features, etc.)
  2. Opens the door to new features not previously possible

At the time of release, the main reason you’ll want to add it is the increased API capacity. If you’re running a large site and you’ve been throttled by Keap, adding the OAuth integration will give you an increased capacity for more API calls.

This does NOT replace the old API integration, it merely adds to it.

How to Enable the OAuth Integration

Make sure you’re on the latest version of Memberium.

First, go to Memberium > Settings > Performance and toggle ON the “Oauth2 API” switch:

Next, go to Memberium > Keap Connection and click the “Authorize OAuth” button:

After clicking this, you’ll be taken to Keap where you might be asked to sign in. If you’ve already signed in, you’ll be presented with the screen below. Make sure to select the same app name you’re already using for your site. If you select a different app than what’s already connected to your site, you may face issues:

With the correct app selected, press “Allow” and then you’ll be taken back to the Memberium page:

If the button changes to “Disconnect OAuth” then you know the connection has been completed.

If you run into any issues, please contact the Memberium support team. We will be updating this page once we add new features that take full advantage of the OAuth API integration.
